The Greater Kansas City 2nd annual Freedom Walk hosted by Miracle of Innocence is a powerful event dedicated to raising awareness about the wrongful incarceration of innocent individuals due to systemic injustices and corruption in the criminal justice system. This walk serves as a collective call to action, amplifying the voices of those who have endured wrongful imprisonment and highlighting the urgent need for reform. Participants will honor the stories of previously incarcerated individuals in Kansas and Missouri who have reclaimed their freedom, as well as support those still fighting for release and exoneration with the assistance of the Miracle of Innocence organization. Through this walk, we aim to shed light on these injustices, foster a deeper understanding of the flaws in our criminal legal system, and inspire meaningful change. Together, we can advocate for justice, accountability, and a fairer future for all.
